We have had many people write in from across the country and tell us about a hearing in the House Energy Independence & Global Warming committee where Congressmen Jay Inslee is thought to be extremely “rude”, “shockingly unprofessional”, and behaved with “conduct unbecoming a congressman” towards climate expert Lord Monckton. Check out this video. We’ll let you decide if Inslee is using his time efficiently trying to protect the environment…

I have attended a few town hall meetings with Inslee and one telephone town hall. During the telephone town hall he was pushing the stimulus bill. He was extremely rude to anyone who disagreed with him. He was offended that anyone would question how effective the legislation would be at creating jobs and stimulating the economy. He kept insisting that he was old enough and had lived through enough economic difficulties that he KNEW this was the correct approach to take. He had no economic data to justify this massive wasteful spending. He talked a lot about a solar panel company on Vashon Island that would get money from the bill as if that made spending $750 B wildly and recklessly okay. He was very rude to anyone who disagreed.
Then, I saw him at his worst. He was at a town hall of invited guests sponsored by pro obamacare AARP and the Voice for Working America (unions). He was in his element because his ardent fans were there. He strutted and preened and absolutely trashed anyone who dared to disagree with him. He didn’t even pretend to be polite. When I saw the video of him lashing out at Lord Monckton, I recoginized the tone, arrogance and cruelty. He must fit in well with Rahm Emmanual and the other goons on the administrations hit team.
At his recent town hall meetings he tried to play nice because Watkins was video taping the meetings. But, that didn’t stop him from reducing my friend nearly to tears, sneering at me as if I only have half a brain and lashing out at another friend who dared to disagree with him.
At the last meeting he was once again surrounded by fans–word must have gone out that Watkins said more of his supporters attended than Inslee supporters so the unions rallied the troops. In this meeting he continued his claim that he voted against TARP. My friend was there with evidence that he voted for TARP. We were frozen out of the Q and A process, so my friend stood up and called him on it the next time he said he voted against it. He didn’t look up and just said that if he said he voted no–then he voted no. End of story. After the meeting he refused to greet either of us at the door. He took my hand, then looked up and saw it was me–he jerked his hand away as if mine were a hot coal. Why wouldn’t he want to engage me and try to win me over? Watkins was outside talking to Inslee supporters–he wasn’t afraid to have a friendly conversation with those people. Could it be that Inslee is just a small man with an insatiable need to have his ego stroked? I have compassion for his poor wife.
